Class Facilitator
Facilitate group or individual classes using Bright Course curriculum on parenting and pregnancy topics. The class consists of 2 video presentations, and discussion questions guided by the facilitator.
Care Package/Layette Creators
This role prepares care packages and layette of donated material assistance for our families. This work requires availability during our normal business hours (M-F, 8AM-4PM) with no minimum or maximum time commitment. We welcome groups to make care packages/layettes for our families and learn more about Bloom.
Material Donation Coordinators
We welcome donations of material assistance items for our families and seek volunteers to help us coordinate drives. We accept new and gently used items which would be appropriate for pregnant mothers and children (ages newborn to 5 years old) We are unable to accept used car seats, cribs, mattresses, bottles, and personal care items such as breast pumps.
Desk Receptionist
Greeting clients with charity is very valuable to their experience and it is vital that they feel welcomed here. As the front desk receptionist, you are the first person clients see in crisis and you have a major impact on their experience. This role does not answer calls.
Responsibilities will include greeting clients, checking clients in our electronic software program, escorting clients to designated counseling areas, reviewing the intake process with the clients, keeping track of missed appointments, notifying staff when clients arrive, and most importantly being present at the front so the door can stay unlocked, creating a welcoming environment.
Translator
If you are bilingual in any language, we need you! This opportunity could include phone translation or in person translation. All languages are welcome to volunteer in this capacity.
